19th Century French Glazed Green Confit Pot
Antique 19th century French confit pot with green glaze from the South of France, Castelnaudary. This pot or planter is hand thrown with charming handles known as 'ears'. These jars were used for storing and preserving cooked meat. It displays beautifully, perfect with a bouquet of flowers or used in the kitchen to hold utensils. It would also look fabulous in a grouping with other confit pots of various sizes, as shown in the last photo.
